Even my Wii (original one from 2007) allows you to import saves. On the PC, losing your save file isn't a big deal, because most PC games let you just download a 100% completion save that someone else uploaded, or even modify game files yourself. My friend who took possession of the 360 has already wiped the HDD clean of all my data so I can't just go to his house with a flash drive. I never subscribed to XBL Gold so I wasn't able to use the cloud service when I had the 360 (on a side note, this is LAME when Steam doesn't charge a cent for this). Unfortunately, I forgot to transfer the save files for the backwards-compatible games I'd decided to keep, i.e. I'm primarily a PC gamer but I do enjoy the xbox exclusives and own an Xbox One, and recently sold my 360.
